Por fin llegaron las primeras lluvias y ya tenemos excusa para sacar del trastero las botas de agua y el chubasquero. Hoy voy a hablaros del impermeable que me compré hace dos temporadas, una de mis mejores adquisiciones por varios motivos: por su diseño, su excelente calidad y por tratarse de una prenda atemporal que nunca pasará de moda.
The first raindrops have finally fallen so we now have an excuse to take the boots and the raincoat out of the storage closet. Today I will tell you a little bit about a raincoat I bought two seasons ago, one of the best purchases I’ve ever made, for various reasons: its design, its excellent quality, and because it’s a timeless garment that will never go out of style.
La marca sueca Elvine, condicionada por los inviernos fríos y lluviosos de la costa oeste de Suecia, diseña en esta ocasión una prenda de otoño/invierno de estilo casual elegante, pero que a la vez proteja del frío y de la lluvia. Para ello, su fundador Daniel Mänd, quiso asociarse con Grundéns, grandes especialistas en impermeables profesionales.
Swedish brand Elvine, conditioned by the cold and wet winters typical of Sweden’s west coast, has designed on this occasion a casual yet elegant autumn/winter garment, which can also protect us from the cold and the rain. In order to do this, Elvine’s founder Daniel Mänd worked jointly with Grudéns, who are great experts in professional raincoats.
Fundada por el también sueco Carl A. Grundéns en 1911, éste quiso dedicarse a producir el mejor equipo de pesca del mundo. A día de hoy, marineros, artesanos y pescadores son fieles a la marca, llegando a conquistar incluso a los miembros de la Tripulación de la Copa América.
The company was founded by fellow Swede Carl A. Grudéns in 1911, who devoted himself to making the best fishing equipment in the world. Today, sailors, craftsmen and fishermen are loyal to the brand, getting to win over even the crew members of the America’s Cup.
Con recubrimiento en PVC y con las costuras soldadas, aseguran total impermeabilidad y protección contra el viento.
Its PVC coating and welded seams ensure complete waterproof qualities and protection from the wind.
Producido en dos versiones, adquieren el nombre de dos islas del archipiélago de Gotemburgo: Öckerö la más larga, en azul o verde, y Styrsö algo más corta, en amarillo.
The two available versions of this raincoat bear the name of two islands located in the Gothenburg archipelago – Öckerö, the longest, in blue or green, and Styrsö, slightly shorter, in yellow.
En definitiva, una reinterpretación del impermeable profesional tradicional, convertido en un streetwear que no ha dejado indiferente a nadie.
